I have noticed that all types of species in Manoa Stream always travel in a group. It is very rare to see an organism hunting in a certain area or traveling to a certain place as an individual. For instance, i have observed that the ducks in manoa stream will always hunt in at least a group of three. I have yet to see a group of ducks that have 2 or less ducks consisting the group. Same concept goes with the fishes. Where the algae is bountiful All the fishes come to eat. I have observed certain areas where there are plenty and little fishes but the concept is still the same. Many kinds of organisms travel in groups. Why? I can only make a hypothesis. Organisms travel in groups because they stand more of a chance to a predator. The larger the group is the bigger the chance that the predator will not kill you or that the predator will just be frightened of the amou t of prey in your group.

In oour natural habitiat, Manoa Stream there are plenty of competition. Ducks fight for their favorite hunting spot and love relationships and the right to mate a certain duck. Tadpoles fight for good and rich waters that contain algae so that they can eat and eat to turn into a frog as fast as it can. There are definitely predator-prey relationships and from the ducks and the fish and the tadpoles. Who knows maybe even a type of dog or cat comes down here at night eats the ducks. All i know is that there are of course many predators that prey on the ducks and that it is not impossible for a predator to be preying on the ducks at manoa stream.
